I was editing at my computer this afternoon, and I happened to glance outside. It was rainy and foggy and looked a little chilly. Then something dawned on me. I had been wanting to do a fog shoot for a very long time. It seemed like every time it was foggy I was always on my way to work. It was frustrating.
Today I realized that making the choice to go full time with my photography had offered me another gift. I was able to go shoot in the fog! I knew I had to scramble to make this work on such short notice. Thankfully Erin came to my rescue with her amazing skills!
By the time we got to the top of the ridge we were already losing a lot of light. We were really pushing the capabilities of my lens and the photos ended up a bit more grainy than I would like, but I love the concept and I think the emotion comes through and I love them. We had a lot of fun in our frenzied escapade and we are planning on revisiting the concept in the near future with a few more additions. This shoot is a great example of fearlessly exploring your inspiration. Not every shoot is going to be perfect. Not every photo is going to be an award winner, but the bonding with friends over a common interest and the experience gained is priceless!
